    1. Expired TLS certificate on mailcoach.app subdomains

Between 00:42 UTC and 06:58 UTC on 26 August 2026 (02:42 to 08:58 CEST), the TLS certificate served on *.mailcoach.app subdomains was expired. Browsers and API clients connecting to your Mailcoach dashboard would have shown a certificate warning or refused the connection.

The certificate had been renewed automatically on 28 July and was valid on disk the whole time. The web server was never reloaded after the renewal, so it kept serving the previous certificate from memory until that certificate expired. Reloading the web server at 06:58 UTC restored the correct certificate, which is valid until 25 October 2026.

Sending was not affected. Campaigns, automations and transactional email continued to go out normally throughout, and open, click and bounce tracking kept being recorded without interruption. The marketing site and the API endpoints on mailcoach.app were also unaffected.

We have added an automatic reload step to the certificate renewal process so a renewed certificate is put into service immediately. We are sorry for the disruption.
